Overview
Infor is an enterprise software company that provides scalable, cloud-powered technologies to help retailers optimize their operations. Each year, Infor exhibits at the National Retail Federation’s “Big Show,” the world’s largest retail conference, to showcase its products and connect with potential clients.
Objective
To attract attention, communicate the breadth of solutions in a clear and engaging way, and create a memorable, interactive experience for attendees. The design aimed to balance information and emotion—highlighting both the complexity of retail systems and the human side of customer experience. By incorporating a highly visible interactive element, the booth encouraged participation, sparked curiosity among passersby, and transformed audience input into a living, data-driven visual that reinforced key themes of insight, empathy, and connection.
Design
A central feature of the design was an interactive wall that posed a simple question about how people prefer to shop, with multiple answer options displayed. Attendees selected a color-coded magnet representing their choice and placed it on the wall, contributing to a growing visual dataset.
This hands-on interaction not only drew in passersby but also transformed individual responses into a collective, easy-to-read infographic—highlighting patterns in customer preferences while reinforcing the importance of understanding diverse shopping behaviors.
